Regardless of the dose of radiotherapy; it is absolutely necessary to use protective lead apron in order to protect one’s health in all areas of radiographic examination.

During license obtaining process of radiologic imaging centers, it is mandatory the use of personal protective equipment by the relevant institution in accordance with the personal protective equipment regulations of each country. In radiated areas, x-ray imaging centers, cardiology departments, it must be provided appropriate protective clothing and equipment such as lead aprons, gonad protectors, lead paravanes, thyroid protectors, lead glasses according to the nature of the treatment. Furthermore, radiographic examination is a commonly used diagnostic technique in dental clinics. The amount of x-ray used in treatment increases as the treated area  expands. The digital technology used in recent years, allows the use of lowdose radiation in sensors. However, it should be used the aprons which stop x-rays in order to protect the personnel and the x-ray sensitive patients in clinics where a large number of radiography used.
