“Rights and Obligations on the Axis of Medical Law” Her love of helping people in the field of health, combined with her interest and curiosity in law, won the Faculty of Law, Atılım University while she was a professor of medicine and graduated with a first in the faculty. Nesligül Yıldırım’s book “Tıp Hukuku Ekseninde Hak ve Yükümlülükler” (Rights and Obligations on the Axis of Medical Law) was published.
The purpose of writing the book is to contribute to the creation of awareness of rights and obligations for the development and promotion of health from the perspective of patients, healthcare professionals and administration.
In the book, the main points of the concept of responsibility were tried to be shown by giving a comprehensive place to the relevant legislation provisions and judicial decisions. It was aimed to give a legal perspective to the readers by giving examples of the justified decisions made by the judiciary in response to the claims of the patients and their relatives and the defenses of the healthcare professionals.
In addition, international declarations such as the Lisbon Declaration and Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which guide the development of the right to health and patients’ rights at the international level, were also conveyed, emphasizing the importance that the world attaches to the subject.
