“Our overarching commitment is to pursue expansion, innovation, and accessibility. We want to create a global medical tourism system that is fair and sustainable. It’s also important to promote new medical technologies and treatments, and to support medical research”
said Natalia Ciobanu, president of the Medical Tourism Association of Moldova.
“The position is an important step in promoting medical tourism in the Republic of Moldova, but also in increasing the country’s visibility at the international level. Our country has a huge potential in the field of medical tourism – which must also be an engine of the economic development of the Republic of Moldova“,
emphasised Andrei Revenco, the executive director of the Medical Tourism Association of Moldova.
Over the next two years, the association will focus on enhancing the range of medical services available in the country. Key areas of development include orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, and balneotherapy. Moldova boasts a rich tradition in balneotherapy, yet significant investments are needed to meet European standards.
