Tuna Taş, who served as Information Technologies and Digital Manager, was appointed as the Digital and Innovation Head for Middle East and Africa Region, while Derya Günsel started to work as Turkey Information Technologies and Digital Manager.
Who is Tuna Taş?
Tuna Taş, who has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, a master’s degree in Executive MBA and various certificates in information technologies, started his career at Mercedes-Benz and then stepped into the pharmaceutical industry at Boehringer Ingelheim in 2004. He held various positions at Boehringer Ingelheim as Head of IT/BP Turkey and Head of IT/Division of BP Nordic, based in Stockholm. Taş, who joined AstraZeneca in 2015 as Information Technologies Manager, was awarded the “CIO of the Year Award” (Director in Charge of Information Technologies) and the “AstraZeneca Turkiye Country Manager Special Award” by the CIO Magazine within the body of Dünya Newspaper in recent years.
Tuna Taş, who has been working as the Information Technologies and Digital Manager at AstraZeneca Turkey since 2015, started his new job as the Digital and Innovation Head for Middle East and Africa Region (MEA). Taş will lead the company’s digital and innovation efforts in the Middle East and Africa Region.
Who is Derya Günsel?
Derya Günsel, who has a very strong background in Digital and Information Technologies, where she led the digital transformation as Information Technologies Manager (Supply Chain) at Pepsico, worked at Bayer for 8 years in the roles of SAP Application Specialist, Information Technologies Operations Assistant Manager and Information Technologies Business Partner, respectively. Günsel, who also worked as a Senior SAP Consultant at BSH and Unilever in the early years of her career; has strong competencies in digital marketing, innovative digital health transformation and team management. Derya Günsel will continue her duty as the Information Technologies and Digital Manager of AstraZeneca Turkiye. Günsel will also represent the Information Technologies function in the Board of Directors of AstraZeneca Turkiye. Günsel will be responsible for guiding the strategic agenda for Digital and Information Technologies and will provide new experiences for healthcare professionals, patients and employees by focusing on digital marketing, innovative digital health and information technology management.
